Some guns cause chain effects. Shoot the enemy three times in a row for a kill, or hit the affected enemy with your weapon for an instant kill. This does not work on bosses. Every time you hit an enemy with a weapon, it damages the weapons do very little damage, so swap weapons often. Enjoy the game.
